TMCC Provides Elder Training
Turtle Mountain Community College (TMCC), a tribal community college in Belcourt, North Dakota, has agreed to provide a free college course on basic computer training to participants in the National Indian Council on Aging’s (NICOA) and Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP). Additionally, a free Google Chromebook will be given to each course participant after they have successfully completed the eight-week course. The class will be taught by TMCC students, with assistance from their instructors. The TMCC Teacher Education Department is now accepting applications for the Teachers of Tomorrow Introduction to Education Summer Intensive Program. Current Juniors and Seniors from Belcourt High School, St. John High School, and Dunseith High School are encouraged to apply. The Teachers of Tomorrow Summer Program is designed to provide current high school juniors and seniors with an immersive and exciting experience that will give you a taste of what it’s like to work as a teacher.
